Christmas greetings
This has been a bad month. Illness, a Christmas-morning death in my wife’s family, weeks without our main source of home heating, two indoor environmental disasters and a depressing outlook for 2026.
Today, we focus on what survives: the flickering flame, a dim but steady glow of heaven’s light from a distant manger, the inner light we Quakers follow.
I’ll be back after the New Year. Turn off the screens, phones and data. Surround yourself with the dogs, cats and people you love. Substack can wait. YouTube can wait. Facebook can wait.
Death waits for no man, no technology.
Focus on what matters.
